The Need:
The National Science Center needed an entertaining
and informative multimedia kiosk for their museum in Augusta GA. The
goal was to teach how airport baggage X-Ray machines function as well
as fundamental X-Ray concepts.
The DesignTree Solution:
A fun and informative interactive multimedia
museum kiosk which teaches how X-Rays can be used to detect and distinguish
between a variety of materials. The user has the opportunity to examine
baggage with a simulated airport X-Ray machine.
The Need:
The National Science Center Museum wanted to
develop an interactive kiosk that would showcase the entire museum.
This involved over 250 museum exhibits. The initial goal was to use
web technologies to accomplish this for possible delivery via the
Internet in the future.
The DesignTree Solution:
An interactive exhibit that included 250 exhibits
modeled in 3D. Users can navigate through virtual worlds in 3D using
VRML. These worlds were contained within an attractive user interface
for easy, intuitive navigation.
